CHCPRTO25 Identify And Report Children And Young People At Risk (Online Course)
This course is an approved child protection training course required by government protocol and applies to workers in a range of job roles providing services to children and young people in childcare, education, community services, and health.
By completing this online course, you will gain the necessary knowledge and skills to identify, respond to, support, and protect children and young people who may be at risk of harm.
The course covers important topics such as:
Recognising signs of child abuse and neglect.
Understanding different types of abuse based on factors like age, gender, disability, culture, and sexuality.

An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:
Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet, or other electronic device with access to the internet to complete the online studies and practical assessment.
Students are required to upload two (2) videos of themselves participating in simulated scenarios to complete the practical assessment component
Must meet English and LLN requirements. The Training Package clearly states:
Reading – to read and understand forms and to make accurate reports
Writing – to accurately record details of children and young people at risk and to make reports using handwritten skills and computer skills
Communication – to communicate appropriately and effectively with children and young people who disclose sensitive information

5 hours. This can be completed over a number of sessions. Your course progress will be saved. You will have access to his course for 6 months upon enrolment

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks. These are detailed in the sections following.

No industry recommended renewal is identified on the certificate, employers are recommended to consult with stakeholders to identify appropriate training periods.

What Happens At The Course?

Delivery of course information and learning activities.

Performance tasks:
• Complete 2 simulated scenarios (Requires smartphone camera or camera attached to computer)
• Students are required to upload two (2) videos of themselves participating in simulated scenarios to complete the practical assessment component
• Child/young person at risk disclosure
• Child/young person at risk signs reporting
Documentation:
• Complete two incident report forms
Theory assessment - An exam consisting of multiple-choice and short answer questions. The student must complete all assessment questions.
In NSW, this course is for nominated supervisors and individuals in day-to-day charge who must complete a child protection course required by a government protocol applying to the approved provider in accordance with section 162A of the Children (Education and Care Services) National Law.
